ASME air vessel (also called compressed air tank, high pressure tank, buffer tank, etc.) is a common pressure vessel used to store gas, while stabilizing the system pressure. In the middle of June 2022, we received an inquiry from an old customer in Malaysia. The customer wanted to purchase ASME air vessel to support the ore thermal furnace equipment. Afterwards the customer provided specific parameters, volume 1m3, working pressure 1MPa. Finally we design according to the customer’s requirements, the diameter is 800mm, the height of the shell is 1700mmm. In fact, the ASME air vessel according to ASME standard without U stamp and MDR, paint is epoxy anticorrosive, and need to be equipped with safety valve, pressure gauge and other safety accessories.

After full communication with the customer, we issued the construction drawings to the customer. The ASME air vessel started production at the end of June. During this period, Lloyd’s third-party AI came to our factory to witness the hydraulic test. In mid-August, the ASME air vessel was shipped from Tianjin Port, China to Port Klang, Malaysia.
